CBI has begun probe into the murder of a prime witness in a rape case against self-styled god man Asaram and got all documents from the local police in Muzaffarnagar.<br/><br/>According to SHO of Newmandi Police Station A K Singh, all papers in connection with the Akhil Gupta murder case were handed over to the CBI Friday.<br/><br/>The Uttar Pradesh government had on July 24 recommended a CBI probe into the murder of Gupta in a rape case against Asaram.<br/><br/>Unidentified persons shot at 35-year-old Akhil on January 11 this year. Subsequently, he was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was declared dead.<br/><br/>He was a cook and personal aide of 74-year-old Asaram, who has been in jail since August 2013, for allegedly sexually assaulting a 16-year-old schoolgirl.
