In Uttar Pradesh, the Central Bureau of Investigation has started a probe into the alleged irregularities in implementation of National Rural Health Mission, NRHM since its inception in the year 2005-06 till date.

The Probe agency has registered five preliminary enquiries following orders of the Lucknow bench of the Allahabad High Court on the 15th of this month. Our correspondent reports that about 10,000 crore rupees were allocated to the state under the NRHM for providing better medical facilities to the common man.
