The CBI has arrested an Under Secretary of National Council of Educational Research and Training, NCERT, New Delhi for accepting a bribe of 15 thousand rupees. The action followed a complaint to the Investigating Agency. <br/><br/>The Complainant had alleged that the official was demanding a bribe of 50 thousand rupees from him for disposing a complaint in his favour. <br/><br/>After verifying the complaint, the CBI laid a trap and caught the Under Secretary red handed while accepting the bribe. The agency also conducted searches at the office and residential premises of the accused.
