In Uttar Pradesh the Central Bureau of Investigation CBI today arrested three persons including two women in connection with smuggling and trafficking of fake Indian currency notes.

Quoting CBI sources, AIR Allahabad correspondent reports that they have been arrested from Lucknow railway station and 8 lakhs 49 thousand rupees fake notes in the denomination of 1000 and 500 rupees have been recovered.

The CBI has lodged a case against them and further investigation is continuing.
