The Central Bureau of Investigation, CBI has arrested a Sub-Inspector of Railway Protection Force at Simuluguri in Assam for accepting a bribe of six thousand five hundred rupees.<br/> <br/>A case was registered under Prevention of Corruption on the allegations that the Sub-Inspector demanded a bribe of ten thousand rupees for releasing complainant's vehicle which had hit barricade of Railway crossing at Bihubari Road in Similuguri. It is also alleged that the RPF official deployed there had seized the said Truck. <br/><br/>The complainant tried to get released the said Truck from the Simuluguri Railway Station but the Sub-Inspector demanded the bribe. CBI laid a trap and caught the accused red-handed while accepting the bribe from complainant. Searches were conducted at the official and residential premises of accused including Jaipur in Rajasthan, Moriani in <br/><br/>Jorhat District of Assam and Simuluguri which led to the recovery of certain documents. The arrested accused was produced today before the Special Judge in Guwahati.
