In Chennai, CBI today arrested Mr C. Rajan Additional Director General, Directorate of Revenue Intelligence, on charges of accepting bribe.

CBI sources told AIR correspondent that Mr Rajan had asked for a bribe of 2 lakhs in cash and an I pod from a business man for relieving him from a case.

CBI officers caught Mr Rajan red handed when the money was handed over to him by his driver.

Later, a CBI court remanded Mr Rjan to judicial custody till the 21st of this month and he has been lodged in Puzhal jail.
