CBI arrests Babloo Yadav, key accused in DSP Zia-ul-Haq murder

CBI today arrested a key accused in DSP Zia-ul-Haq murder Babloo Yadav in Pratapgargh in Uttar Pradesh and claimed to have cracked the case. Babloo Yadav , son of slain village head Nanhe Yadav, allegedly shot Haq dead using a country-made gun.

CBI sources said, Babloo, who is over 19 years of age, has confessed to have shot the police official during intense grilling by the officials of the agency. The Mobile phone of DSP has also been also recovered.

CBI has also detained two brothers of Nanhe Yadav and members of his domestic staff in connection with the DSP's murder and is likely to arrest them soon.

Asked about role of UP minister Raghuraj Pratap Singh, alias Raja Bhaiya, in the murders, the CBI said the probe in the larger conspiracy is still on.
