The Central Board of Direct Taxes,CBDT will soon launch an E-Nivaran portal for speedy redresal of taxpayers' grievances. Briefing reporters in New Delhi after the conclusion of two day Annual Conference of Tax Administrators in New Delhi, the CBDT Chairman Atulesh Jindal said, the portal will be launched for Delhi on a pilot basis within two-three weeks. He said, all kinds of platforms on which the grievances from the taxpayers are received will be integrated through this portal. In response to a question about widening the tax net, Mr Jindal said, the CBDT is focusing on non-intrusive method for widening the tax base to boost up tax collection.He said, during the conference, session,Prime Minister also pitched for adopting a taxpayer friendly approach. Mr Jindal said, the Tax Department has put in place a robust system to get information about high-value transaction. Mr Jindal said, during the meeting, it has been also decided to publicise Income Disclosure Scheme and Income Dispute Resolution Scheme at various levels.
