Supreme Court today directed Karnataka to release 2,000 cusecs of Cauvery water every day to Tamil Nadu till further orders. <br/><br/>The Apex Court asked Karnataka and Tamil Nadu governments to maintain peace and harmony in their respective states. It said, sense of citizenry must prevail in the two states. <br/><br/>Supreme Court was hearing a petition filed by Tamil Nadu government over the water sharing of Cauvery river with Karnataka and some other states. A bench comprising Justices Dipak Misra, Amitava Roy and AM Khanwilkar had earlier deferred its direction to constitute Cauvery Management Board and had ordered formation of a high level central technical team. <br/><br/>This team led by central water commission chairman G S Jha submitted its report to the apex court yesterday.
