Govind Singh Kunjwal of Congress elected as U’khand assembly speaker

Mr. Govind Singh Kunjwal of Congress has been elected as Speaker of Uttarakhand Assembly. Mr.Kunjwal has secured 39 votes while BJP nominee Harvansh Kapoor got 31 votes in the 70-Member Assembly.Meanwhile, Mr.Kunjwal took the charge of the Speaker from the pro-tem Speaker.
