Oil prices fall in Asian trade

Oil prices fell in Asian trade today as sentiment was dampened by a private report showing weaker US energy demand. New York's light sweet crude lost seven cents to quote at 79.61 dollars a barrel. Brent North Sea dropped four cents to 78.14 dollars a barrel.
