Sensex gains 117 points in opening trade

The Bombay Stock Exchange benchmark Sensex gained 117 points, or 0.66 per cent, in opening trade today.The 30-share index touched 17,810 points.The wide-based National Stock Exchange index Nifty rose by 40 points, to touch 5,330 points.
