Rupee up by 6 paise against US dollar

The Indian rupee strengthened by 6 paise to Rs 44.75 against the US dollar in early trade. Forex dealers said dollar weakness against the euro and other currencies overseas mainly kept the rupee sentiment firm against the American dollar.
