Cataract Free Maharashtra campaign restarts; nearly 14 lakh cataract surgeries to be conducted over next two years

Cataract operations had been stopped after the advent of COVID-19 pandemic and a recent survey has revealed that close to 14 lakh people in the state are in need of these surgeries.<br />''<br />''The government has appointed renowned ophthalmologist, Padmashri Dr. Tatyarao Lahane as the Chief Promoter of this campaign. The surgeries will be scheduled and organised by the state government's public health department in association with the medical education department and NGOs.</span><br />
