The Common Admission Test, CAT for admission into prestigious Indian Institutes of Management and other B-schools kicked off yesterday with 5,690 candidates sitting for the test. Prometric, which has been conducting CAT online for the IIMs since 2009, said in a statement in New Delhi that the Computer-based examination went off smoothly.
The cities in which the highest numbers of candidates are scheduled to take the online test till the 18th of next month are New Delhi, Bangaluru, Mumbai, Hyderabad and Pune.
About two lakh five thousand candidates have registered for the test as against two lakh 40 thousands last year.
The results will be declared on January 11 next year.
