The Home minister P Chidambaram today assured the Lok Sabha that caste based census will commence in the month of June and conclude in September this year. Responding to the points raised by the members cutting across party lines, Mr. Chidambaram said that he has noted all the points and they will be carefully examined. The Leader of the House, Mr. Pranab Mukherjee asked the JD(U), RJD and other party leaders to come up with concrete suggestions for the consideration of the government. Earlier, the issue was raised in the House by members of several parties.
