Finance Minister P Chidambaram has said that introduction of cash transfer using Aadhaar platform will ensure huge savings in subsidies. Speaking at a function in New Delhi, he said the pilot projects in cash transfer have shown results of 40-90 per cent savings. He said falsification, duplication and leakages will come down leading to savings in subsidies. He made out a strong case for accelerating reforms to promote growth and contain fiscal deficit. He said every aspect of India's economic life requires reforms.
