Cash-for-vote scam: Delhi police arrests Suhail Hindustani

Delhi Police on Wednesday arrested Suhail Hindustani in connection with cash-for-vote scam. This is the second arrest in the case. A police spokesman told AIR correspondent that Hindustani was arrested after he was questioned by the crime branch of Delhi Police for about seven hours. Police said that prevention of corruption act has been pressed against him. Meanwhile, Delhi police plans to seek the views of Home ministry on questioning parliament member Amar Singh in the case. The Rajya Sabha Secretary General V K Agnihotri said that no permission for questioning Amar Singh has been sought from the chairman of the Rajya Sabha. Police Sources say that BJP MP Ashok Argal and former aide of L K Advani Sudheendra Kulkarni may also be questioned in the case.
