Cash-for-vote scam: Delhi court to decide interim bail plea of Amar Singh

A Delhi court will decide the interim bail plea of Rajya Sabha MP Amar Singh on Tuesday. He is arrested for his alleged role in 2008 cash-for-vote scam, Special Judge Sangita Dhingra Sehgal reserved her order after hearing senior advocate Ram Jethmalani, who argued the case of the 55-year-old former Samajwadi Party general secretary. Singh is seeking interim bail from a Delhi court on medical ground.Amar Singh was admitted to All India Institute of Medical Sciences in New Delhi last night following a rise in creatinine level in his body. Tihar jail spokesman Sunil Gupta said Singh was admitted in the private ward of AIIMS at around 8 pm. A panel of doctors at Tihar jail examined Singh, found his creatinine level high and decided to refer him for admission in AIIMS.
