Cash-for-vote scam: Court extends interim bail of Amar Singh

In cash-for-vote scam case, a Delhi Court on Monday extended the interim bail of Rajya Sabha MP Amar Singh till 27th September on the health grounds. Singh was arrested for his alleged involvement in the 2008 cash-for-vote scam. Extending Singh's interim bail which was to expire today, Special Judge Sangita Dhingra Sehgal also asked BJP leader L K Advani's former aide Sudheendra Kulkarni, a co-accused in the case, to appear before it on September 27 without fail. Kulkarni failed to attend the court today despite his September 6 undertaking to the court. The court said no further extension would be granted to Kulkarni.The court also heard part of arguments on Singh's regular bail plea by senior counsel Ram Jethhmalani and slated September 27 for its further hearing.
