In Karnataka, the Bangalore Metropolitan Task Force has registered a case against Law Minister S. Suresh Kumar and others for recommending denotification of land, meant for construction of houses for slum dwellers. The Task Force is a vigilence wing of Bangalore Mahanagar palika and other autonomous organisations.

Complainant Dinesh Kallalli has alleged that the Minister along with former Housing Minister M Krishnaiah Setty and former Principal Secretary to the then Chief Minister, V P Baligar allegedly denotified 4.2 acres of land in Bangalore to benefit K.Gopinath, brother of BJP Member of Legislative Council Mr.Narahari.

He alleged that the Yeddyurappa Government denotified the land in 2009 when the Karnataka Slum Development Board was about to begin construction of houses by calling tenders.
