Danish police have shot and wounded a man at the home of Cartoonist Kurt Westergaard, whose controversial cartoon sparked an international row. A Somali man linked to Islamist al-Shabab militia broke in to his house with an axe and a knife. <br/><br/>The cartoonist with his young granddaughter scrambled into a room at his home in Aarhus and escaped the attempt on his life. He also later attacked a police patrol. Police said the suspect was shot in the knee and the shoulder, but his life was not in danger.<br/>
