Carrying original proof of Identity while undertaking Rail journey on reserved tickets booked through Passenger Reservation System, PRS, for all kinds of reserved classes, will now be mandatory for passengers from 1st of December this year. In addition to AC classes, Ministry of Railways has now made it mandatory for second class, sleeper class, 3rd economy class and first class.
