The Rajasthan Goverment has banned use and sale of plastic carry-bags in the entire state from today. The Government has declared entire Rajasthan as plastic-bag free area. According to notification issued by the Government, plastic carry-bags are affecting adversely the environment, public health and drainage system. The Government has made provision of five years imprisonment or penalty up to one lakh rupees from those violating the rules.
