CBI has registered FIR against people involved in the LTC scam. Official sources told AIR that the agency has carried out searches at several places in Delhi. It also searched the premises of JD(U) MP Anil Sahni in Muzaffarpur in Bihar.

CBI has registered an FIR against Janata Dal (United) MP Anil Kumar Sahani for allegedly filing fraudulent Leave Travel Concession claims using forged air tickets and boarding passes. Official sources told AIR that the agency also carried searches at several places in Delhi and Muzaffarpur in Bihar. Searches were also carried out at Rajya Sabha Secretariat and other locations.The CBI has registered a case under Prevention of Corruption Act and sections of Indian Penal Code against Sahani.
