Carbon monoxide poisoning kills 9 in China’s Shanxi province

In China, nine people have died after being poisoned by carbon monoxide at a power plant in the northern Shanxi Province. According to a local government spokesman, the accident happened on Tuesday at a power plant in Jiexiu City of the province. He said eight people who were exposed to the poisonous gas are under emergency treatment. The spokesman said fifteen workers were repairing a boiler at the plant when the accident happened.
