Captain of Karachi-bound ship is de-boarded

<br/>The captain of the Karachi bound ship with military hardware, ammunition and explosives which was detained at Diamond Harbour in West Bengal has been de-boarded and taken for interrogation. The Director General of Police Mr. Bhupinder Singh told in Kolkata on Saturday that papers and documents furnished by the captain of the ship to police and customs authority are inconsistent. Mr. Singh said that, the ship will be taken to the Kolkata port for further searching. <br/> <br/>AIR correspondent reports that the police, Coast Guard and customs have cordoned off the Liberian registered ship sailing from Chittagong in Bangladesh to Karachi in Pakistan. The navy and Coast Guard after boarding the 153 metre long ship yesterday found a huge quantity of explosives, rocket launchers, anti-aircraft guns and smoke bombs in two large containers.<br/><br/>
