In Nepal, the UCPN (Maoist) candidate, Dr. Baburam Bhattarai and the Nepali Congress candidate Ram Chandra Poudel have filed their nominations for the elections of the Prime Minister's post. Nominations will be open till four on Friday evening. Voting will take place on Sunday. Speaker Subas Nembag in a ruling has directed all the lawmakers not to abstain from voting or remain absent in the House on Sunday. The parties had failed to select a consensus candidate leading to voting for a majority government.
