In the Canada Open Badminton Tournament, Indian Women's doubles pair of Jwala Gutta and Ashwini Ponnappa have cruised into the finals. In the semi final match played early this morning, they defeated Japanese pair of Shiho Tanaka Koharu Yonemoto in straight games of 21-17, 21-16. Third seeded Indian pair will now face the top pair of Eefje Muskens and Selena Piek from Netherlands in Finals later tonight. This pair is the lone Indian contention in this tournament.
