A Somali-born Canadian citizen who admitted of attending al-Qaeda training camps in Afghanistan and lectures by Osama bin Laden has been released from federal prison after nearly seven years in custody and deported to Canada. A statement by the Federal Correctional Institution in Indiana in the United States said Mohammed Abdullah Warsame, 37, was on Friday released and taken to the US-Canadian border. He was heading for Toronto.US prosecutors say Warsame was a jihadist who received military training in al-Qaeda camps.
