Haryana is witnessing extensive campaigning for the assembly elections and main parties in the competition continue to point fingers at their opponents. Today almost every part of the State, either had a senior leader or star campaigner of political party addressing election rally or a public meeting to mobilize the voters in their favour.
AIR Correspondent reports that Bahujan Samaj Party Supremo Mayawati started her poll campaign today from Karnal, while addressing the gathering, she criticized the present and previous Central governments for not doing enough for the poor. Later, she addressed an election meeting at Yamunanagar to seek votes for her party’s Chief Ministerial candidate Dr Arvind Sharma.
While addressing rallies in the State, Bharatiya Janata Party National President Amit Shah said, the people of Haryana have seen corruption promoted by the Congress and hooliganism under the Indian National Lok Dal and now they want a change and better governance.
He said, for development of Haryana, it is necessary for BJP to win the assembly polls with full majority. Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister, Shiv Raj Singh Chauhan campaigned at the Ambala constituency today, supporting the BJP candidates.
On the other hand, while addressing election rallies at Panipat and Ambala, Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda said that BJP has still not announced its Chief Ministerial candidate and party lacked unity.
Congress Rajya Sabha member Kumari Selja and former Bihar Chief Minister Rabri Devi campaigned for Congress candidate from Rewari, Captain Ajay Singh Yadav.
Former Chief Minister of Haryana and Indian National Lok Dal President Om Prakash Chautala addressed five rallies back to back and urged the voters not to get misled by false promises made by Congress and BJP and vote for his party.
In Maharashtra it was a hectic election campaigning day today. All the major political parties have tried to make the best use of the Sunday to reach out to maximum number of people with an aggressive political campaign.

Addressing an election campaign rally in Gondia district of Maharashtra Modi slammed both the parties by terming them as corrupt and inefficient.

Udhhav also pointed out the importance of the city of Nagur in Vidharba region and said that it would be made a transport hub. Sharad Pawar in his political rally in Sangli district said Modi shoud avoid giving Maharashtra a bad name and should think for the progress of entire nation and not only Gujarat.
Pawar also slammed the central government’s decision on banning of onion export saying that centre’s move is affecting the farmers adversely.
Former Union Minister and senior congress leader Anand Sharma addressing to media in Mumbai raised serious objection on Modi’s promise of making Maharashtra the number one state of India saying that Maharashtra is already number one state of the county then how can Modi claim to take it ahead of Gujarat.
