In Uttar Pradesh, senior BJP leader and PM Narendra Modi severely criticised the SP Congress alliance saying it has been formed out of scare of BJP. <br/><br/>Addressing a poll rally in Aligarh, Modi today said that? the people of state now want a change as they are fed up with prevalent crime and lawlessness in the state.<br/><br/>Talking about the world famous locks' industry of Aligarh, Shri Modi said that it has been devastated only because of indifference of state government and acute power shortage. <br/><br/>Countering the attack, Rahul Gandhi, while sharing the platform with Akhilesh Yadav in Kanpur said that PM Modi will forget UP after the elections as he forgot about Bihar after its Vidhan Sabha polls. <br/><br/>Meanwhile BSP criticised both SP Congress alliance and BJP terming them to be anti Dalit and anti -poor.<br/><br/>In Uttrakhand, the electioneering is picking up as the date of assembly poll of 15th February is coming nearer. The several senior BJP leaders including Home Minister Rajnath Singh and Finance Minister Arun Jaitlry camping in the state today addressed public meetings in far flung areas of various districts. <br/><br/>State BJP has alleged that Chief Minister Harish Rawat, instead of facing issues has adopted the policy of hit and run.<br/><br/>From the Congress party so far Harish Rawat is the only star campaigner who is visiting nook and corner of the state for campaign. <br/><br/>Bahujan Samaj Party President Mayawati today visited Sitarganj in Uddham Singh Nagar district and addressing a rally. She accused BJP led Union Government for making efforts to abolish reservation system in the country. <br/><br/>In Haridwar, senior BJP leader Rajnath Singh said that the congress government has failed on all front in the state. The BJP has challenged Congress party to have a debate on promise made in the last elections and fulfilled by its present government. <br/><br/>Congress leader Harish Rawat participated in a road show in Haridwar town. The BSP President Mayayati said in Sitarganj that corruption is on at its peak in Uttrakhand and every section of the society is unhappy with the policies of congress government in the state.
