Campaigning on full swing for 26 Assembly seats in Jharkhand
In Jharkhand, campaigning is on full swing for the 26 Assembly seats going for polls in the first phase on 25th of this month. Deep-rooted corruption, spiraling prices, increased Naxalite activities and lack of development have emerged as the main issues in this Assembly election. The Congress party has been aggressively campaigning with a promise of clean and stable government in the state while the Bhartiya Janata Party has decided to rake up the issue of corruption and price rise.
Among other major political parties, former Chief Minister Shibu Soren-led Jharkhand Mukti Morch is fighting this election with an eye on its poor, young and rural vote bank. Whereas, the former Chief Minister Babural Marandi's Jharkhand Vikas Morcha, which has forged a pre-poll alliance with Congress, still considers Naxalite-related law and order problem at the forefront of party's agenda.
But the political pundits in the state are of the view that Madhu Koda episode will surpass all other planks in this assembly election.
