Campaigning intensifies for Himachal Pradesh assembly polls; PM Modi addresses election rallies in Mandi and Solan districts

In Himachal Pradesh, campaigning is inching towards the final phase for the assembly polls. The State is going to polls for the Assembly Election on the 12th of this month in a single phase. The counting of votes will take place on 8th of December. Senior leaders of major political parties are touring Himachal Pradesh to woo the voters.<br />'' <br />'' To give impetus to BJP's campaign, senior party leader and Prime Minister Narendra Modi was on a day-long visit to the state on 5th November 2022 where he addressed election rallies in Mandi and Solan districts.<br />'' <br />'' Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, electing a stable government is very important for the rapid development of the State and it is the demand of the 21st century. While addressing the Vijay Sankalp rally at Sundernagar and Solan on 5th November 2022, Congress has ruled for a long time after the Independence but during this time Himachal has always been neglected in the matter of development.<br />'' <br />'' Taking a jibe at Congress, he said Congress encouraged corruption and the development work came to a standstill during their tenure. Mr. Modi said, the Double engine government will emphasise self-reliant Himachal. He added that the BJP government is working for small farmers and emphasis is being laid on increasing fruits, and vegetables and setting up food processing units in the State. The Prime Minister also paid tribute to Shyam Saran Negi, the country's first voter, and resident of Kalpa in the Kinnaur district.<br />'' <br />'' On the other hand, the Congress party has released its election manifesto in Shimla today. In its Manifesto, apart from the 10 guarantees already being given by Congress, many promises and commitments have also been made. According to the party, the State will be financially strengthened by improving tourism, agriculture, horticulture, forest, and the environment sector.<br />'' <br />''The BJP will release its vision document in Shimla on 6th November 2022.
