Campaigning intensifies for Assembly Elections in Mizoram and Chhattisgarh; Filing of nomination for Telangana Assembly polls to begin today

Campaigining has intensified for single-phase assembly election in Mizoram and first phase of polls in Chhattisgarh. Voting in Mizoram for all 40 constituencies and in Chhattisgarh for 20 out of a total of 90 seats will be held on 7th of this month.<br />''<br />''In Chhattisgarh, several polling booths in the Assembly constituencies are located in inaccessible areas, where the polling party has to walk several kilometers through forest and hilly areas. The Election Commission of India has decided to provide free medical facilities to officers, employees, and security personnel deployed for election duty.<br />''<br />''In Chhattisgarh, Senior BJP leader and Union Home Minister Amit Shah will release the election manifesto of the party for the assembly elections this afternoon.<br />''<br />''In Mizoram, all political parties and Independent candidates are making all-out efforts to woo the voters. Claims and counter-claims on political discourse are evidently visible in social media platforms.<br />''<br />''Meanwhile, in Telangana, filing of nomination for single-phase assembly polls will begin today with the issue of notification. Polling for all 119 assembly constituencies will be held on 30th of this month. Last date for filing of nominations inis 10th of this month. Scrutiny of nominations will be held on 13th and candidates can withdraw their name by 15th of this month. Telangana Police seized 4 crore 69 lakh rupees yesterday. With this, total cash seizure since the announcement of election schedule in the state has reached 156 crore rupees.<br />'' <br />''In Rajasthan, the filing nominations is going on. 301 nominations have been filed so far. On the other hand, withdrawal of candidatures ended yesterday for single phase assembly elections in Madhya Pradesh and for the second phase of assembly polls in Chhattisgarh. Voting in Madhya Pradesh for all 230 constituencies and in Chhattisgarh for 70 out of the total 90 constituencies will be held on the 17th of this month. In Madhya Pradesh, 2500 candidates are left in the fray after withdrawal of nominations. More than 350 candidates withdrew their names yesterday. <br />
