Counting of votes will be held on the 22nd of this month. The electors will choose the ward councilors of 21 corporations including Chennai, about 150 municipalities and 490 town panchayats spread over all the 38 districts. The AIADMK leader O.Panneerselvam said in Madurai, the DMK makes untenable promises, adding it has lost its credibility within ten months of its rule. An interesting feature in this election is the extensive use of technology, including digital campaigning and appeals through social media.
