Campaigning for sixth phase of UP polls to end tomorrow

In Uttar Pradesh, campaigning has reached a feverish pitch in areas going to the polls in the last two phases. The campaigning for sixth phase elections will end on Sunday evening. Polling will be held on Tuesday in this phase in 68 constituencies of thirteen western U.P districts. Leaders from all parties have been addressing public meetings in different consistencies in these areas for last many days. Elections preparations are also on in full swing in the thirteen districts of Saharanpur, Meerut, Aligarh and Agra divisions.A PIL was filed in Allahabad High Court on Saturday demanding CBI Inquiry against alleged irregularities related to Bundelkhand package. The special package was given by the centre recently. The Union Government has given more than seven thousand corer rupees as Bundelkahd package for development work in this region. Hearing will take place on next week.Senior party leaders addressed several meetings in different parts of western UP today. Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav addressed rallies in Muzaafarnagar, Saharanpur and at Shamli in Newly created Prabudhhanagar district .BSP Supremo Mayawati addressed public gathering in Meerut and Saharanpur districts. BJP president Nitin Gadkari addressed meetings in Meerut and Muzafarnagar districts.
