Campaigning for six phase of WB assembly polls ends

In West Bengal, campaigning for the six phase of assembly polls came to an end this evening. The election will take place on Tuesday for 14 seats in Jungle Mahal covering remaining part of Purulia, Bankura and West Midnapur districts. Over 26 lakh fifty five thousand electorates will decide the political fate of 97 candidates. The State Chief electoral officer Mr. Sunil Gupta told newsmen in Kolkata this evening that fool-proof security arrangement have been made to ensure peaceful voting in the Maoist infested areas of these three districts. Inter-state borders along with Jharkhand and Orissa will be sealed from tomorrow to check the entry of unwanted persons during voting.
