In Bihar, the election campaigning for the by-elections to Purnea assembly seat comes to an end this evening. Elections will be held on Saturday. Leaders of various political parties including senior JD(U) leader and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, BJP leader Sushil Kumar Modi and the State Congress President Mehboob Ali Quaiser addressed election meetings and rallies. AIR Patna correspondent reports that seven candidates are in the fray. The counting of votes will take place on the 29th of this month. The by-election was necessitated following the murder of BJP MLA Raj Kishore Keshari.
