Campaigning for Himachal assembly polls reaches its peak

In Himachal Pradesh, campaigning for assembly elections has reached its peak as only seven days have been left for the polls. The political parties are trying their level best to woo the voters.

The star campaigners of various political parties are on campaigning trail in different parts of the state.

BJP leaders Nitin Gadkari and Sushma Swaraj, BSP Supremo Mayawati, and CPI-M leader Subhashani Ali addressed a series of rallies in the state on Saturday.

The star campaigners are making corruption as the main issue in the electioneering and over shadowing public related important issues.

The BJP National President Nitin Gadkari blamed the UPA government for corruption and price hike.

On the other hand, the Congress senior leader and union minister of parliamentary affairs Pawn Kumar Bansal accused the BJP government in the State of encouraging corruption and failing to utilise the central assistance given in crores of rupees under various schemes.

BSP Supremo, Mayawati said that capitalists have ruled the hilly state till now and had taken care of their own interests.

She said now is the time to form a government of common people. She said that her party is not related to a specific cast rather it gives preference to people from all walks of life.
