Campaigning for Bihar assembly poll in full swing

In Bihar, campaigning for the assembly election is in full swing as leaders of different political parties are making allegations and counter allegations against each other. AIR Correspondent reports that the war of words between NDA and Congress has heated up.During election meeting at Raxaul Senior Janata Dal ( United) leader and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar lashed out against the Congress General secretary Rahul Gandhi over his claim that the UPA government has provided more funds for the development of the state. While addressing election rallies at Katihar, Supaul and Araria Rahul Gandhi said yesterday that the central government has provided one lakh crores of rupees for the various developmental project of Bihar but the people of the state are being deprieved of the welfare schemes for which huge money was provided.State BJP president CP Thakur, who contended that the Centre used to allocate the funds in accordance with the Gadgil formula and has not given any extra penny for Bihar during the past five years.RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav and his LJP counterpart Ramvilas Paswan today launched a joint campaign today for former Chief Minister Rabri Devi in Raghopur assembly constituency in Vaishali district. Both Yadav and Paswan launched a vitriolic attack on the Nitish Kumar government in a joint rally describing it as “an epitome of corruption.”Lalu yadav said that there is rampant corruption prevails in all fields, may it be the case of MNREGA or other schemes. Ram Vilash Paswan alleged that bureaucrats have virtually looted the public funds during the past five years and made investments in real estate.
