Campaigning for the by-election for the Bhavanipur and Basirhat (North) seats has come to an end on Friday evening. Votes the both the seats will be polled this Sunday, that is the 25th of this month. The counting will take place on Wednesday, the 28th of this month.In the Bhavanipur constituency, the West Bengal Chief Minister Miss. Mamata Banerjee will contest as the Trinamool Congress candidate against Miss. Nandini Mukhopaddhay of the CPI(M). There are also 6 other candidates in the fray.On the other hand, in the Basirhat (North) constituency ATM Abbullha of the Trinamul Congress will contest against Subed Ali Gazi of the CPI(M) and Subodh Kumar Chakraborty of the BJP and 4 other candidates. About 4 lake 6 thousand voters will decide the fate of these candidates. To ensure free and fair elections, 19 company of central security forces have been deployed. Five hundred and one polling booths are being setup for voting in the two constituencies.
