Campaigning for the 2nd phase of polling to elect a new assmbly in Assam ended at 3 PM this afternoon with leaders of different political parties making their last bid to woo voters. Polling will be held in 64 constituencies in this phase on Monday in lower Assam area including Bodo belt of the state. Leaders of ruling Congress and opposition parties including BJP, Asom Gan Parishad – AGP, AIUDF, NCP and left parties made allegations and counter allegations on development work in the state and infiltration from Bangladesh. AIR correspondent reports, Nalbari district bordering with Bhutan considered stronghold AGP will see close contests in all the 3 constituencies. AGP President Chandra Mohan Patowary is facing direct contest with Congress candidate and former Minister Nilmani Sen Deka. Nalbari constituency will see a multi-corner contest among Trinimool Congress , Congress, AGP and CPM.
