In West Bengal campaigning for the second phase of Assembly Elections comes to an end this evening. More than 50 seats will go to the polls in this phase, spread over three districts on the 23rd of this month. Strict security measures have been put in place to ensure free and fair elections. More than 200 candidates are left in the fray for this phase of polling. Briefing news persons in Kolkatta the State Chief Electoral officer has said that the commission would keep an eye on the conduct of polls through observers and micro-observers.
