Campaigning ends for WB municipal polls

The West Bengal campaigning for elections in 81 Municipalities including the Kolkata Municipal Corporation has come to end this afternoon.<br/><br/>Elections will take place on next Sunday. Over 85 Lakhs voters are eligible to cast their franchise. More than 10 thousands polling stations have been set up. <br/><br/>Altogether 7 thousands 29 candidates are in the fray. Our Kolkata Correspondent reports that for the first time Central Force is being deployed for Municipal Elections in the State. <br/><br/>Besides State Police 68 Companies Central Para Military force are being deployed to ensure free and fair voting. In Kolkata out of 141 wards 272 polling booths have been identities as sensitive. <br/><br/>Over one thousands candidates are contesting for the Kolkata Municipal Corporation elections.
