In Bihar, electioneering ended today evening for last phase of assembly elections. A total of 26 constituencies including 18 Naxal hit spread over 5 districts from Magadh and Shahabad regions will go for poll on Saturday in this phase.AIR correspondent reports Congress national general secretary Rahul Gandhi, JDU president Sharad Yadav and Samajwadi Party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav had a whirlwind campaign addressing election rallies at Rohtas, Aurangabad, Kaimur, Gaya and Buxar districts. At Sasaram Rahul Gandhi targeted Nitish Kumar lead NDA government on several issues including poor implementation of NAREGA, distribution of Indira Awas and irregularities in BPL and APL ration cards. Rejecting claims for good governance of NDA government he said eligible people were unable to get benefits from welfare schemes due to corruption prevailing in government`s functioning. He asked to youths to come forward to build a new Bihar. He also criticised Nitish Kumar for having alliance with BJP. He also addressed a rally at Obra in Aurangabad. BJP leader Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Modi participated road shows at a few places in Gaya, Aurangabad, Kaimur and Buxar districts. On the last day of canvassing JDU president Sharad Yadav and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar addressed election rallies mostly at Naxal affected segments. RJD leader Lalu Prasad Yadav and LJP President Ram Vilas Paswan were scheduled at Gaya, Aurangabad and Buxar districts. Both of leaders addressed election rallies jointly.A total of 426 candidates including 43 women are fray in the last phase of elections. Congress and Bahujan Samaj Party fielded their candidates from all segments followed by Rashtriya Janata Dal 22, Nationalist Congress Party 17, Janata Dal United 16 and Bharatiya Janata Party from 10 constituencies.
