Campaigning for second phase polls in Assam came to an end this afternoon as voters in three parliamentary constituencies prepare to elect their representatives.

Silchar and Karimganj in southern Assam are the two main constituencies that go to the polls on Saturda. The third constituency is Autonomous District also known as Diphu.

District Commissioner of Silchar S M Hazarika told to AIR Correspondent that election parties of Sonai, Dholai, Katiagorah and Lakhimpur assembly constituencies are going today to their respective polling centers. For remaining areas polling parties will leave tomorrow.
