This afternoon, the residents of Campa Cola Society at Worli, in Mumbai were served notice for preventing the government officials from carrying out their duty.
Defying the Supreme Court orders again, the 102 flat owners of Campa Cola Society at Worli, in Mumbai prevented the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation officials from entering the premises and demolishing the illegal floors of the building. The residents formed human barricades and blocked the gates.
Though demolition squad of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation and police force are still camping outside the Campa Cola compound, only the BMC officials have returned to brief the seniors about the situation.
Earlier this morning, a team of 10 – 15 officials from the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation and Mahanagar Gas arrived at the Campa cola society to disconnect civil supplies such as Electricity, Water and Piped Gas to the illegal apartments.
The BMC authorities were seen convincing the residents to allow them to implement the Supreme Court order to avoid any confrontation.
Sources from the corporation informed that they would not resort to use of any force and instead film the entire incident to use it as evidence against people who obstruct the action.
