Call drops problem will be resolved in next 3 to 4 months: Govt

Government today said the call drops problem will be resolved in the next three to four months. Replying to a supplementary in the Lok Sabha during Question Hour, Telecom Minister Manoj Sinha said the Centre will certainly remove this black spot of call drops. Mr Sinha said, he had a meeting with telecom operators two days ago where several instructions have been given to improve the situation on call drops front.The Minister said the telecom operators will invest around 20 thousand crore rupees to improve their infrastructure and install one lakh base transceiver station to offer better services to customers.He added his Ministry is in touch with the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India to ensure enhancement of the validity of mobile and mobile data from present 90 days to 365 days.
