<span style="color: #222222;">The Chancellor of the Calcutta University and the State Governor, Jagdeep Dhankhar has claimed that yesterday's student agitation at the convocation was not spontaneous. Addressing newsmen at Raj Bhawan in Kolkata this afternoon Mr. Dhankhar termed yesterday's incident as difficult to forget. He said that the incident has broken the rich tradition and heritage of Asia's one of the oldest University. Describing the incident as a dark period the Governor said that he will not back out in discharging his constitutional duties. He urged all positive and constructive forces not to repeat the incident in there.<br />'' <br />'' AIR Correspondent reports that a group of students showed demonstration to the Governor at the convocation venue protesting his alleged role over CAA and NRC. The Governor left the venue following the ent's resistance. The Calcutta University conferred honorary D'litt's degree to Nobel laureate Avijit Viyanak Bandyopadhyay at the convocation.</span><br />''  <br />
